An SDD process begins with formulating a Triggering Question (TQ) to help participants stay focused on the issue they are discussing:

- What are shortcomings of current systems of education?

Participants will be asked to contribute ONE problem, shortcomings or other negative characteristic of today’s systems of education in a SINLGE SENTENCE. Following phases will support participants gradually construct collectively an INFLUENCE MAP. Shortcomings at the root are those that collective wisdom considers as ROOT CAUSES; they should be addressed with priority. The process will spread over two 4-h sessions, Friday and Saturday mornings and requires participation in both: Graduates are expected to apply acquired knowledge and skills in an SDD they will organize themselves in the following days.
