A '''[[Wikispecies:Collaboration with ZooKeys and PhytoKeys|collaboration]]''' between Wikispecies and [http://www.pensoft.net/journal_home_page.php?journal_id=1&page=home ZooKeys] has been announced. PhytoKeys also joined the collaboration in November 2010. Images of species from ZooKeys and PhytoKeys will be uploaded to [[commons:Main Page|Wikimedia Commons]] and used in Wikispecies.

==The contract has been signed==

After a long series of negotiations the contract has been signed between [[Future Worlds Center]] and [[United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF)]]. The contract number is UDF-GLO-13-532. The project's official launch date is the 1st of May 2015 and it will be completed within 24 months (01/05/2015 - 30/04/2017). The negotiations led to the optimization of activities and value for money. The project staff has began setting up project websites, promotional materials, application forms, project descriptions, and other logistics. [[Yiannis Laouris]] who will be directing the project, stated that the vision of Reinventing Democracy in the Digital Era is to reach, mobilize and engage thousands of young people and act as an empowerment and point-of-reference tool in helping them materialize their respective aspirations in designing a better world.  [[Maria Georgiou]] the project's coordinator, explained that the current priorities include the (1) Identification of additional liaison organizations in all 5 continents interested to support the scope of the project; (2)  Designing of the training methodology, content and materials; (3) Deciding participants’ selection criteria, developing online application systems and beginning the selection of 20-25 participants from each region; (4) Monitoring and supporting potential Co-Lab participants to recruit their corresponding 10 “shadow” participants who will take part in Co-Labs virtually.
